Recommendations for preparing an AR scene with bone rigging animation

  • Do not add bones, to an already animated skeleton

  • 60 bones are the limit for the scene

  • Make sure that the bone effects are limited to 4 bones per vertex. Otherwise, during export to GLB, the effects of the other bones (all but the first 4) will be discarded, which may cause an incorrect display of geometry in AR Quick Look.

  • Use the "Limit Total" tool: Weight Paint mode, select Weights -> Limit Total -> subset: All Groups, Limit: 4

When adjusting the weights in the Weight Paint mode, it is recommended to enable the Auto Normalize option in the tool settings before starting.
